2026 evidence previewProvisional, not a league table

Research support should be easy to find and use.

The Manusights Research Publishing Support Observatory maps how clearly U.S. R1 universities help researchers move from finding evidence to publishing trustworthy work.

What it measures

Publicly discoverable support infrastructure, not research quality, prestige, or faculty performance.

How to read it

Start with the six dimension profiles and their official evidence. The composite is a secondary methodology check, not the product.

Why it is provisional

The evidence floor is complete, but independent second review and the institutional correction window have not happened yet.

Institution profile browser

See what support is publicly discoverable.

Reviewed institutions show their strongest public support dimensions and the official evidence behind every assessment. The remaining R1 institutions stay visible as awaiting review rather than receiving an inferred profile.

Standout signal: A broad, well-connected infrastructure for data stewardship and sharing research outputs.

The evidence model

Six dimensions first. Composite second.

A missing public signal is not proof that a university offers no support. It means a researcher could not reliably discover that support through the reviewed official pages. Institutions can submit corrections before the full edition is released.

How profiles are verified

Official pages, explicit observations, correction history.

A weighted composite remains in the downloadable data so the method is reproducible, but profiles are not ordered or presented as a league table.
